Differences Between onedrop Benchmark Series

This post is for those looking to spot the differences between the various onedrop Benchmark Series yoyos. Maybe your’re thinking of collecting or interested in the Benchmark Series. The differences are easy to check with the eye. No measuring or weighing needed.

There are three editions of the onedrop benchmark series: 2013, 2014, 2016.
2013 only has three shapes: O, H, and V (the V looks more like a W).
2014 and 2016 each have four shapes: O, H, V, W.

Each shape within a series uses the same specs.
All are side effects yoyos. As far as I know, all three series are retired.

2013 series
Flat in the cup and around the side effect.

.

2014 series
Two thin lines in the cup and around the side effect.

.

2016 Series
A groove is taken out of the cup and around the side effect. This looks similar to the 2014 double line but this is only one indentation. Another way to spot the 2016 is the response bump in the gap. The 2016 is the only benchmark series to have the response bump.

Does anyone know if there will be more benchmark series in the future?

The inner cup shelf also looks a bit closer to the hub on the 2016 than on the 2014.

I remember @da5id saying they are unlikely to do more benchmarks. I believe this was covered in the David Metz q and a series.
