what the difference between anodized and bead blasting??
why are pepople trying to sand away their anodized??
also what exactly is anodized?
Bead blasting and anodisation are two different things. Anodization is putting the aluminium through a process that involves electircity to increase the amount of natural oxide. After that, paint would stick to it easily, so it would not be easy for the paint to come off. Bead blasting is firing minute glass beads onto the metal, causing small indents in the metal. This would help grinding as there would be less surface area of the metal touching the skin when grinding. And when people say sand away the annodization, they just mean sanding off the paint.
