Were you able to decipher it later, when no longer fresh in your mind? I would like to make index cards of my combos, but the problem is after a few days, what made sense is now a definate “what the ****” moment.
I may only write down what I can remember. Tech tricks will be very unlikely this way, no vocabulary to describe what messes we create.
I don’t like tech too much which is convenient, since I can’t seem to remember them long enough anyway 
I’ve got a little Mobius action cam on hand for just such situations as this!
Or if you’ve got a camera phone, you can get a little phone tripod for about fifteen bucks which is well worth it for when you come up with a sweet combo that you wanna remember later.
Video is great because sometimes there are little flourishes between elements that really would be difficult to write down on paper.

I agree. As much as I want to do this on index card, yo-yoing is a very visual pursuit. Some moves that aren’t too bad too figure out by watching, look comical in text.
