For anyone sitting on the fence about getting a Wrath, I would pull the trigger while you have a chance on the last ones. Dan and Glenn of DEADLY SpINS love designing and doing these so much that they are going to move on to other designs and may not revisit this one soon.
If you havenât had a chance to try it, itâs a great performing throw, I love the way it feels and moves through the tricks. Plus itâs nice on the eyes too, the shape is beautiful.
I really really hope you guys stick with only 2 runs of the wrath. you have just enough yoyos produced for people to know who you are, and want one. once a conpany starts mass producing yoyos the rarity if the yoyo goes down and it feels cheaper to own. take the skywalker for instance. it started off with 1 run and another run a year later. For about a yrar and a half that yoyo was one of the most sought after yoyos on the market. you couldnt see a want list withough a skywalker in it. also they sold for about 150. but then vsnyyc kept making more runs and it became less rare and less.sought after. the same exact thing happened with the chief. you no longer get that special feeling of knowing that the yoyo you are playing with is special and different from all the rest.
I understand that keeps the resale higher and such, but itâs not really in the best interests of the company or the community. The company will keep making money by producing more and the community loves them. Making TOO many would be bad because theyâd stop selling, but having more than 100 in the world isnât exactly an excess of them. As long as DS keeps the quality high, then I donât think a Wrath will ever feel cheap. We donât need a restock every month or anything, but I donât see the problem with a few more runs. Chiefs are still loved by everyone and on their 9th run or something.
There are still plenty in stock! If you have the money and want a new throw that you would love, pull the trigger and buy a Wrath. You wonât regret it and you actually get your moneys worth with all the extra goodies packaged with it.
I got my Wrath in the mail todayâŚWOW! This yoyo has opened my eyes as to what a quality throw feels like. I just canât get over how much smoother it is than anything Iâve ever thrown(which is admittedly not many of the more expensive throws). Everything just seems to glide and the balance is perfect. If youâre thinking about buying a wrath, DONâT HESITATE, so worth it.
As a side note, this thing is gorgeous. I ended up with the non official yoyoexpert version with Red, silver, and black since SOMEONE(looking at you Mullicabob :P) beat me to the pink and red speckle. I guess 45 seconds just wasnât quick enough >< as it stands, this thing still looks awesome and the few people I have shown it to so far thinks its one of the coolest theyâve ever seen. I do believe Iâll be getting a Pride to join my Wrath when they come out.
If we did do more Wraths it would most likely be an upgraded version. We are looking to experiment with design tricks and strategies. For now we are working on our Pride Yoyo.
Also we will be doing a video contest soon! And maybe even sponsor a player or two! Lots of cool ideas coming to the community soon!
