Cubing Corner

Did not know that about the ave of 12. Good to know! Lol

oh I see. The only reason I said average of 10 is because my timer says that and Iā€™m too lazy to calculate of 12

itā€™s kinda weirdā€¦ i think i could blindsolve a cube easier than regularly. :stuck_out_tongue:

HA go try it and come back and let us know how that went.

easier lol not shorter

memorizing an entire solve is so much harder than solving normally

Not if you think out some pointless story line to remember the letters.

But u have to plan out every single move in your head, spend hours memorizing the story, then solve flawlessly, way harder

Not that hard.

Iā€™ve memorized certain letter combinations and made certain phrases with them.

have you ever successfully done a blind solve?

twice

ah ok, and out of how many tries exactly?

Iā€™m not saying itā€™s the hardest thing in the world, but solving with eyes is a million times easier period.

4 or 5 but i think the successes were the last two

Oh btw, I got my zhanchi on Monday. It is awesome, and Iā€™ve knocked off around 5 seconds from my average, but it has this loud squeaky noise when I turn the blue face. Is there something I can do or is it something Iā€™ll have to live with?

there is something you can do, itā€™s the spring thatā€™s squeaking, you just gotta pop off the center cap with like a small flat head screw driver, unscrew that screw all the way take out the screw and there should be a spring, put a small dab of lube on the ends of the spring, screw back in, problem solved.

Thanks a lot, and that sounds way easier than I thought it would be

If it takes you hours to memo a blind solve you really suck at blind solving.

Do you realize that Blindsolving is completely different? You memorize a path of swapping pieces to first solve edges and then corners. You donā€™t plan out a single move.

Iā€™ve never attempted a blind solve, I donā€™t see the point, friends have tho.

I know the method is different, but you still have to plan out all the swapped pieces and remember where they are and where you put them.

Regardless itā€™s still harder than a normal solve.
