Iām sub 3 with CLL, 2x2 is probably my best event lol.
I would recommend you start with Ortega. I got down to a sub 4 consistent average with it, and was able to sub 3 using some help from CLL. Ortega involves making a face, doing OLL, and then finishing the cube. Pretty simple, only 5 PBL algs, all of which are easy. If you want to get serious about it, CLL is where you build a layer, and finish the cube. There are 42 algorithms. If you get super serious, you can learn EG. Iām working on it. Itās where you build a face and then finish the cube in one algorithm. There are 3 subsets, 42 algs each. Hope this helps!

so do you kind of build the face like the white cross on 3x3, then use algorithms to complete the rest depending on the configuration you have left?
You do the corners, they donāt have to be aligned, then oll, the the whatever perm.
Thatās for Ortega. EG combines the last two steps.

Well I can now do 2x2 ortega, but memorizing the algs is gonna take some time

BTW I printed Bob Burtonās Algorithms if you think thatās good. Actually the memorization is coming along! Although sometimes I find I have to do PBL in 2 steps. Hmmm
