Crocostrings is an up and coming string buisness run by myself, crococorey, on the yoyoexpert forums. This thread is the place where I will post any news or updates with crocostrings.

My types of strings!

  1. A very very whippy polyester string called “Cat O’ nine tails” because of the whip of the same name. The cat o’ nine tails is a kind of whip used throughout history. I will call this string “Cat tails” because its original name is quite long.

  2. A thicker version of “Cat o’ nine tails” called “Fat cat o’ nine tails”. Again, I will call this string “Fat cat tails” because of its long original name.

  3. A super soft nylon string called “Fantasy chords” because they are so soft that you will feel as if you are in a fantasy when you are using them.

  4. A thicker version of fantasy chords called “Fat fantasy chords”. These strings bind a bit tighter than regular fantasy chords, yet have a higher snag risk. Just like any fat version of a string.

  5. A soft polyester/nylon blend called “Marshmallows” because just like marshallows, these strings are cheap to buy, and are so yummy! They are also soft like a marshmallow.

List of testers!

And last but most definetely not least… Mr. Andrè Boulay of yoyoexpert.

Keep an eye on this thread! I am expecting it to have alot of activity in the next few months.

Have a croco day!

Great idea if there are not a lot of testers I would be happy to test because I make my own string and have tried a lot of types

Good Luck Crocorry

Thank you, but i’m not looking for any more testers. I cant afford to give out any more free string. If you want, you can buy a 5 pack (one of each of my strings) for 3$ plus 1$ shipping, and review them. Thank you for the offer though!

Thank you!

oops I just realized I spelled your forum name wrong sorry

Thats ok haha.

Pm me if u need another tester :stuck_out_tongue:
Good luck! Hope it does well!

Updated with a list of possible testers. TESTERS- If you for some reason can’t test my strings any more please PM me. Thanks!

I entered Leftylink’s “yoyoexpert holiday throwdown” and in that video I’m going to be using a fat whippy crocostring (name of the string TBD). I’m definetely not that good of a thrower yet, so don’t expect much in the video. I did throw in some slacks and whips into my combo, so hopefully those will start to show what crocostrings can do.

A great guy who makes awesome yoyo holsters (which you can see here:
http://yoyoexpert.com/forums/index.php?topic=52594 ) named Legyoyo on the forumns is one of the most awesome people ever. Over the past few weeks he and I worked together to make a special logo just for the crocostring buisness. He really did all the work. He drew the crocodile and spent a long time photoshopping it and making it look awesome and professional. All I did was tell him how i wanted it to look and send him a pic of REAL crocostrings to put into the picture. His skills are amazing! If this picture doesn’t prove it, then click on the link above and see how awesome his holster making skills are too!

^ooh the top one looks like a slim type and he bottom apears to be regular

Are those poly or nylon?

My whippy poly ones. (Name TBA). They are actually pretty thick. The same strings are in both the pictures.

I decided to drop one kind of my string. Only 4 kinds now. I think it was for the best.

I’m curious about these fantasy chords. Tell me more, thickness, slacks, etc.

They are a regular thickness, and bind great. They dont snag at all. They slack quite well, with big loops. They hold tension quite well too. They dont whip that well, but they can still land brent stoles and hooks easily. They are SO soft! 5$ a ten pack, and worth it. Reviews of all of my strings should start coming soon, so if you want other people’s opinions you can wait for them.
