CLYW YETI

Hmmm wonder how they did that.

Injection Molded, So think ā€œcastā€ from a mold  not machined. thats how they stick out.

Technically they are still engravings. They are engraved in to the mold and then when the plastic is pours in the logo is embossed on the rims.

Yup, same way plastics are media blasted, as far as I know.

I have played every CLYW yoyo except the BvM1 and Peak 1st and 3rd runs, cliff, arctic circle, bassalope, avalanche. I have played everything else/probably own it.

The yeti is my second favorite yoyo behind my 1st run Chief I also have 2nd run peak. I am not trying to hype it but I just love this thing.

Just got mine in the mail today. Wow. This thing is great. Mine is very smooth on the string and just floats through the air. I have to say that my expectations where high for this throw and the yeti exceeded my every wish.

I will be buying a second when they become readily available.

Got mine an hour ago

WOW!!!

This thing is awesome. Very floaty IMO. Not as deliberet and heavy as you would think.

Smallest little vibe you can see but very smooth on string and smooth of grinds

I will probably be buying a blue one as well

Tried it at Worlds and I must say, it shows how long heā€™s been working on it. Plays amazing, canā€™t believe it. You never will know till you try.

Ahā€¦ No Avalanche?

The Avalanche is like the #2 of CLYW.

Amen to that. Iā€™ve owned 3, and they are great yoyos. Really a must have from CLYW in my opinion. Never looked back, until now, because I want to get a VSEPR.

Guess Iā€™m not getting a Yetiā€¦ Because I snagged a MIB Bape Cascade in Ebay for $40 8)

I canā€™t wait to get my hands on mine  will there be a box change for different runs? And what is the major difference between the current spacers and then next set of spacers that will be a available? And why do people hate the current spacers so much?

Sell the bape for more than you bought it and used profits to buy yeti. BOOOM

The old spacers make it nearly impossible to remove the bearing from it. They are seriously annoying. The newer ones make it easier, apparently. I think the box will stay the same.

There were only 50 at the worlds release.

Where there any differences between the worldā€™s release and then drop at YoYoE not long ago?

Donā€™t think so. The ones at worlds were also the black ones released here at YYE.

Well, I have both the Rally and Yeti now and use both regularly so I can answer. I would say I like the Rally just a tad bit more. It just feels like a better quality yoyo to me, it plays like a metal instead of a plastic; whereas to me the Yeti plays more like a plastic than than a metal. Donā€™t get me wrong, both yoyos are absolutely incredible and by far the best two plastics Iā€™ve used but for me I like the Rally a smidge better. Now this is just my opinion, yours could be different. The facts are: Yeti is bigger and clunkier than the Rally, Rally is more angular than the more organic and Chief like shape of the Yeti. Yeti is based off the Chief and is very similar to is, and the Rally is based on the Code 2 and very similar to it as well. There are metal weight rings in the Rally, the Yeti is 100% plastic. Rally costs more than the Yeti, by $5. One is machined, one is injection molded. Both are freaking amazing, by far the two best plastic yoyos ever made. I would much rather get one of each of these than one good metal yoyo.

Edit: For clarity

I was wondering, due to the yetiā€™s material being partially glass, would it be more vulnerable to shatter?

I know I was going to sell it and get a Rally and Yeti (initial plan)but then I showed the Yeti to my dad and he thought it was pretty bada** for some reason so I think he might buy me one  ;D 8) :-*
