My favorite throws for unresponsive play are the YYF Protostar, YYJ Diamondback, and CLYW Fool’s Gold Avalanche (fool’s gold because of ano, not vibe). I have no idea why I like them, I just do. I’m curious to hear from the community who owns and have tried hundreds of throws and has experience with these yoyos.
How would you guys describe them (weight distribution, shape, size, etc.)? What kind of tricks or styles do you think they work best for? Based off of these, what other yoyos do you guys think I should try? What yoyos, if any, would you say are the complete opposite of these and why so?
I’ve learned so much just from from reading everything you all have to say on the forums and I can’t wait to hear everyone’s insight!
