Has anyone tried the spacers from one of these in an older death grip spacer yoyo like a Protostar or Yeti?
i would like to know the answer to this as well
i am scared to one day ruin my OG northstar spacers it would be nice to know if i can use new hardware or maybe even hardware from some of my old protostars that are now cracked
Protostar ones will work for sure, I’m just asking because they’re so awful.
i completely destroyed my OG yeti hardware the other day
its like all spacers from this era were made from crumpled tinfoil lole xd

You can at least sand some new ones down so they aren’t so tight, I was just thinking with the current sale YYF has the new Northstar for the same price. They’re literally the same spacers by the way, CLYW made an inexplicable decision.
I’ve swapped spacers and bearings back and forth from old and new. Have a black champions collection northstar and a protostar from 2012. Yyf also lists them as the same spacers. FWIW, the black northstar is quieter and plays better in my opinion without the caps. Almost as good as my protostar.

The newer ones aren’t as tight though right? I had a finger spin Northstar and that’s what I remember, it was also much better without the caps.
They aren’t as tight. I sanded down my northstar and the spacers came out thick I have the yoyo in my drill.

The good news is we can now just print replacement spacers for old yoyos
