I really don’t think it could work because if that stuff hits the floor hard enough it could really splinter and hurt somebody. Now if your wondering where I’m getting this idea carbon fiber arrows sometimes crack and splinter which is really dangerous.
could carbon fiber work if you did something like a bimetal but carbon fiber then SS rims? the rims would have to be crrraaazzzzy heavy though
I guess what I’m asking is what specifically about carbon fiber makes it unfit for yoyo use?
I own a Rev G and I can tell you it’s not the material that made it play bad. The whole concept of that yo yo was wrong. With the right design carbon could be used. It’s not even that hard to work with. Think fiberglass with a vacuumed bag. Now what really makes the material cool is its ability to be dynamic, directionally. Like what bike manufacturers are doing with it. Technology yoyos probably don’t need at this point. High modulus carbon where the yo-yos is spun from a single strand of carbon… :o

Yeah, just because a company made a graphite dud, doesn’t mean the material should be totally written off.
Could definitely be possible, although it would need to have some sort of metal on it also, titanium or aluminium, and even then, it would probably be pretty light considering how light carbon fiber is…
That is a fhz with a carbon fiber pattern vinyl wrap on it.
