Can I dye a Speed-Maker?

My dad said I could get a speedmaker, beefcake, then dye it for a fun little project later this year.
The question is, will it blend?
Lol, no JK. Can I dye a speedmaker? I’ve heard the dye won’t stick to polycarbonate, and the speedmaker is celcon, so it should work. Or is it the other way around?

It depends on what color it is. The only thing you can do with any yoyo is dye it darker than the original color.

Celcon needs very hot water to work.

Polycarbonate needs acetone to work without heat.

There are tons of tut’s on this subject. Google it.

Yeah. I would be using RIT dye.
If I bought It white, wouldn’t I be able to dye it any color?

If I used boiling water, I would be very cautious about melting the yoyo.
Or should I not? And by the way, I was planning to make it a 2 tone,
maybe green on purple…

I’m googling this ATM

I think one caution is you could melt the plastic in hot water. And if I were you I’d get a white one so it blends better
