It can, but it ‘shouldn’t’. YYF is probably more susceptible to this due to their extremely tight fit on bearing seats. A ‘perfect’ fit in my opinion is one that is firm but not so impossibly tight that the bearing damages the anodization layer when moving on/off of the post.
If the seat isn’t all that tight and it is wearing off, quit taking your bearing out so damn much
