I have always considered 53 or below to be undersized. Thats just me though. I’m not a fan of smaller yoyos regardless, especially heavy ones. The 54 is about as small as I will go.
yes, people, we will be taking off about 4 grams next time so it’s settled. it is a bit heavy, but I like the unique way it plays personally. it isn’t obvious that it is heavy.
okay guys, I will now supply you people with more information. We have a few of the new prototypes, so I though that I would give you guys some stuff to think about. Unfortunately no pics as I’m not the one who has the fancy camera. Anyway, here are the notable features:
Green = something that will be changed in the future
It is about 1.5 mm wider
it is a lot heavier (69 grams)
the shape is slightly less dramatic (hardly noticeable) to work better with the new width
rims are thickened by a lot
wider gap
bearing is not so impossible to get out
Also, the prices will be changed. Seeing as they are more finalized, they will be priced somewhere around $70. However, there are also some B-grades in this run, which will sell for about $10 less. We are still unsure exactly how many we will sell, but it will be more than before. Thanks, hope that helped some people decide whether they want to buy it or not.
HI EVERYBODY!!
Its Lettuce!
So I am the guy with the new Whole Wheat prototype and with the fancy camera. SO I took so nice pictures of it and decided to give my own thoughts on this yoyo. Pictures first though:

My thoughts on the Whole Wheat are as follow. I love it. i have been using it as my main throw and I think it is going to stay that way for a while. At first I didn't like the weight but after a while I started not to notice it as a bad thing but as a good thing. It is smooth and fast fits nice and your hand. The entire yoyo is catch zone so it is hard to miss the string. Its has a good amount of sleep time and in the one I have NO VIBE AT ALL!! So those are my thoughts on this exceptional yoyo. Oh and I weighed it on my dad's weigher (which he uses for when he teaches molecular evolution so it really really accurate) and it said it weighed 68.38 with bearing and axel. Also, in conclusion, I don't really think that we (BLTYoYoWorks) need to change anything about this yoyo. I'm sold........
I like the new hub design! Axle holes always look ugly to me. Is there any chance of a whole wheat lite based on the original lighter proto? I really like mine.
I’m lovin’ the new hubs as well! great job!
@sirnaque: IDK, maybe we can have a lighter version sometime in the future
Are you guys seriously naming it the whole wheat? I’m not a fan of the name. Doesn’t sound like very professional, so to speak. I was all for the monte cristo, which IMO sounds more catchy and A LOT better. Just my thoughts though. Do as you please
I guess it sounds like more BLT. Heh. My guess…
I’ve got an idea maybe the Whole Wheat can be the light version because whole whet bread is healthier then normal white bread and also since it seems like many of you think a lighter yoyo could be nicer. more fun, and the heavier version could be the Monte Cristo and it could be more a competition type yoyo heavier and more spin-time! IDK just an idea what do you guys think?
Sounds good to me!
ok, so 2 versions: the white bread (first release, heavier version) and the whole wheat (later release, lighter version) I like that idea
Sounds great! And if/when you release a 3rd yoyo, I would suggest Pumpernickle as the name. It’s my favorite kind of bread ;D
haha this is awesome dude! I’ve been stalking this thread for about 2 weeks now but never wrote anything But I must say I’m loving the name ideas and the way this throw is coming together so well keep up the awesome work
thanks!
Yeah thanks
ok, so 2 versions: the white bread (first release, heavier version) and the whole wheat (later release, lighter version) I like that idea
no the heavier version should be the monte cristo, no?
~lettuce
I think not, the names should be related, as it is really just 2 versions of the same yoyo
so what’s the deal on the 2nd run? any available?
right now we’re are still doing some final touch ups and such. we’re going to have some of them sent back to have some small fixes done. Also, we’re deciding whether or not to have them anodized.
