Isn’t that the one @yoyodoc did? The executive?
It’s a simple case of mistaken identity.
Not me🤓
Your thinking of @DocPop
I’m so sorry Doc!
I’m terrible with names
Hey me too, that one was understandable though. Two docs
We need someone with “yoyoPhD” and “PhDyo…yo”
To even things out.
Hmm, I wonder… Are there any actual doctors in this community?
There is at least one real PhD I 'm aware of…
Just no … please
The suspense is killing me… Who is it?
Ok silly question, what is the benefit of 7075?
7075 doesn’t ding or dent as easy as 6061. Stronger alloy. Can also get thinner walls. More “extreme” weight distribution.
PLUS imo it makes an awesome “ting” noise.
7075 is my fav btw.
It can be machined thinner than the industry standard 6061 aluminum, making it easier to distribute weight in a more extreme manner. It is harder than 6061 too.
So you can either machine thin rims and make it ALL center weight (why I’ll never know) or thinner hub and nice fat rim weighting.

I think the idea is to make thin cup walls and put weight at the rims instead, making the rim-to-body weight ratio more bi-metal-like.
Want to say this is a big reason OD doesn’t “have to”, want to, or need to make bi-metals.
Their 7075 competition yoyos perform amazingly well.

Where is @dryoyo when you need him…
