What would you say the best mono-metal yoyo is for grinds?
I’ve gotten some incredible grinds from my YYF Shutter. As for plastics, my YYF One with a C Bearing mod grinds very well.
Me personally, spotlight ultr
For finger grinds specifically I’ve found the Libero to be great. There’s minimal skin contact due to the steep shape around the bearing; the H shape lends itself to remaining stable and locked onto your finger while spinning a good while; and the blasted finish is very good.
When I want a long and stable grind this is the yo-yo I reach for. It’s blasted very smooth and like @lex said, The steep drop to the gap gives me a nice little spot to balance on. The cups are rounded and just deep enough for talon style grinds and just lightly hangs on my fingers.

Duncan Roadrunner. The finish combined with the shape and grooves in the gap make it crazy good for finger grinds.
I’ve heard it’s good for grinds, but also thats its snaggy. Is this still an issue or did duncan fix it?
Yea the response isn’t my favorite but if you get the right pad/string combo it’s manageable. Otherwise, it’s a very fun and capable throw. I really enjoy it for 5A.
Mowl Heterogeneity. Very smooth finish, hard H shape with a narrow gap.
