It depends what yoyo you have and what type of bearing you have and also how you like your yoyo(responsive or unresponsive).

Once your bearing gets loud, you either leave it like that, or lube it. It should take about a month until your bearing needs lube.

well my bearing is making a loud noise and my yoyo isn’t sleeping as good.
Then put a very small amount of lube in it. It it continues to be the same then clean it in mineral spirits or lighter fluid and then lube it.
