Yeah, proportions are hard to get, but stick with it. Just like yoyoing, it takes tons of practice.

It’s free and pretty good. (Not quite up to par with PhotoShop but it’s free. C= )
Just downloaded it yesterday, its a pretty good program. ;D
Yeah I just used the path tool to follow the lines I drew then erased everything then drew them the selected inside each area and airbrushed the color to each part (I really like the airbrush C= ).
