I’m guessing you’re an older gentleman by the grumpy old man tag you have. If so, could be they wanted you to play only with that one brand, thinking the younger generations might be swayed against purchasing that brand because old folks use them, not cool people, or some other asinine reasoning. For example, they wanted you to only play with Duncan. Older people throw Duncan yo-yos, younger people, cool people, don’t. It’s only a guess and no offense intended. Very interesting. I’d be very interested in in knowing both brands, the one you wanted to throw, and the brand making the offer. Feel free to send me a DM.
