I understand a bit about knife steels and I am still learning more about the different steels that knives have

I don’t carry folding knives.

ive tried to get into carrying fixed blades, but i also try to EDC my firearm so i run out of comfort room on my belt haha, so to pocket knives it is since i use them mostly for boxes and letters

Try one of those steel core leather belts. The core really helps to support what ever you’re caring giving you a bigger comfort sweet spot.

Been eyeing a carbon Kramer for a while now myself

Blue Alpha is a nice belt. I’ve got the edc version but they have a heavy weight too. Webbing not steel core and custom made.

You won’t regret it Sir!

Not a fan of using Kramers but it is quite the attractive knife you got there

Have you tried a ‘wave’ feature knife? ZT 0630 of mine. When you draw back across the pocket it opens instantly. Although I carry both fixed/folding. Training was .25 second from static to quarter size target called by another but anything .50 second or under was passable.

I posted my old Murray Carters from when he was still in Japan. Amazing knives.

Dylan was sold out on those forever back in the day!
