No bass, but a nice walleye…
22 in. 4.5 lb.
Almost lost it. Got it up to the side of the canoe, just got the net under it when it came off the hook. Heart pounding for a bit. Used a Rapala Tail Dancer (Perch).

@Roy_Dodge Look at this bass! I caught him and broke my PB with a 4 pounder.
Wow!!! Way to go @PCaliyoyos!!!
I didn’t think I would land him. I had a light hook set and I have to lean over the edge of the deck to grab fish because I don’t own a net. So every time my brothers and I have bent down to grab a fish, the fish gets spooked kicks around and spits the lure. So when I got him to the edge of the deck, I was thinking “There is no way I can land him”. But sure enough, when I grabbed his jaw he was completely chill and I lifted him out of the water.
Nice catch, dude! All the more rewarding when you seriously doubt if you’ll actually land it but do anyway.
No joke!
I caught 7 bass on the ned rig yesterday.
Landed a personal best bass on a fly rod today. Brown wooly bugger got him, nice fight on the 5 wt rod.
I have no patience and dislike being outdoors most of the time, but this thread makes me hungry.
I can’t wait to get out on the water now that everything has de-thawed!
The only fish I’ve caught lately are a Barracuda and a Koi!
Spring is here, time to stock the freezer with trout.
