Amateur Yo-Yo Photography

Great stuff! Flickr has a “Share” button that allows you to copy “bbcode” for pasting into the forums. Easiest way to post photos IMO.

Enjoyed the contrast on that 44!

This little titanium beauty just arrived fresh from Graou via the BST. UV lamp from left of shot and LEDs from the right, and shot using the camera on my Galaxy S3. Posted on instagram without any filters.

Oh Snap!!! That is one of the best yoyo pics I have EVER seen!!! WOW man…

“when somethings dark let me shed a little light on it” Eddie Vedder…

Such a good song…

Good photograph, too! The only thing missing for me is more contrat between the yoyo itself and the background.

Whoops sry bout that :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! It was fun, but you get a headache with the BL on for that long! Like the song too!

I agree on the yoyo and background. I had already shot a lot of the Halo, bit its the only one I have that reacts with the BL. I need to get more creative with the lighting somehow?

I’ve been playing with laying out the string to get some sort of impact too? This isn’t the BL string btw.

This is the BL string in the other post in plain light. C&C trilobal neon yellow and neon pink.

I was also digging the 44 on the string, it looks awesome!

@beherenow…that blacklight photo is fantastic!

My chief outside.

Cool pic Logi. Good to get away from the light box sometimes. I will do that more as the weather warms up around here. You guys know that I started taking photos to catalogue my collection. So far, I have some favorites. I’ll post more later, but here are a few of my favorites so far:

Great front lighting and white balance on those TA! Really dig that Barracuda too!

The opposite side of the log from my last shot…

^ Wow Beherenow, I was curious what the yo-yo was sitting on in the last photo. I thought it was one of the yo-yo stands you made. It was zoomed in, so I couldn’t tell, and just presumed. Now I see that it was not what I thought…very nice. Mix of natural light and shade for that shot too. Cool spot to shoot.

Yes…I’ve been practicing the lighting too, it’s getting better as I go along.

Yes, sir! Lovin’ the El Ranchero. It has become my everyday throw lately. Wish I had one in gunmetal gray and black, too (I have the antique bronze AKA “brown”).

That’s a mighty fine picture of it.
