i might have to cook sumnthin for this giveaway
My DIY project:
I made this candle for meditation. I wanted to have something nice to burn while I meditated. The primary scents I used are sea salt and sea moss with some light floral notes.
It smells like the bath pearls my mom/grandma/aunts had in their bathrooms in the 90’s that looked appetizing as a child.
I made this for my girlfriend out of some stone. Forgot what it was called.
Also made this when I was a kid!
As someone who could be asked “why” about many many things in my life, I ask you without judgement and just out of curiosity; why?
My DIY Project : The Sledge-Rebelle
NERF Sledgefire Break Open Shotgun, Modified with a WAYYYYY Beefier Spring for lots of Power
Removed the Grip and took a Dremel to a Rebelle Messenger (also modified with a beefier spring) to make it fit in the previous grip slot.
Plastic welded together to make a foam flinger that when you run out of shells, you can just spin it around on your finger and you have another blaster at the ready.
I do a lot of DIY and art stuff, so here’s a few things
This is an art project I did for a competition two years ago. You paid the entry fee and got a random item to make an art piece with… I ended up with a bag of cowpeas, so this was literally my first idea. Involved taking a 3D model of a cow and slicing it into sections, then modeling those sections with wire and beans, then stringing them all up together. Ended up winning first place, which was dope! The piece is called “Vegan Sliced Beef”
This is my yoyo shelf I built into a cubby system from Ikea. I think I need a second shelf soon haha
USB C cable crocheted to look like a vine. I have an audio cable done up the same way, and I really want to do it to all my cables but I have too many projects/hobbies hahaha
Since I cannot draw or build for sh*t, I am sharing a pic with my DIY project from yesterday. Nearly broke my nose with my koi while learning neck laceration.
I hope it counts!
P.s: I nailed the trick after 20mins. Pain was a bitch though.
This is an oversized silver halide print of a portrait I took of Danny Boyle (director of Trainspotting, 28 Days Later and many more)
I had to modify my enlarger so that the output was ridiculously strong
And I love this idea; it’s awesome to see everyone’s project!
Some texture details
And the frankenlarger
Here’s a couple photos of a throw that I designed and 3D printed. This post has some more details (and a trick). Also, the Aggressor looks sick.
Owning a house is a DiY project, unless you can afford a bunch of different craftsman!
I can not, so I am the handy man. Plumbing, drywall work, painting, finished cabinetry, wire pull, electrical, networking, programming, wood working, automotive maintenance, landscaping, lawn maintenance, and servicing the lawn equipment… I think that’s all? So far, anyways!
My latest and greatest venture this week is closet renovation #2
Excited to start cutting/sanding/staining cleats and shelves while I wait for this fresh coat of paint to dry.
This weekend I’ll dawn my plumber overalls and replace the guts of a toilet. Here we go!
is the stone soapstone bychance?
Sounds correct! Thanks!
Can you explain the setup? What’s outputting that much heat?
I rigged a head mount for my phone to record a tutorial for some friends on discord.
Here is the tut
