Advice for whip into kamikaze

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to do whip into kamikaze mount? I was watching some videos on it and I still can’t land it!

as ben said if you can tell us what part you’re having trouble with, or even better record an attempt we can better help diagnose. otherwise id say the the important parts here are (aside from the standard make sure you have neutral torsion)

  1. make sure you have a good pinch on your non throw hand so it doesn’t slide in the mount

  2. give it a very small and gentle hop as you whip. not a hop out of the mount like eli hops or kwijibo, but just enough to resist gravity for a sec to make the whip a little easier to land

  3. really draw a good “C” shape with your throw hand to form the slack and loop that around the back half of the yoyo (closest to you)

Also to add on this, it’s easier to do the whip with a big trapeze so that the yoyo is closer to your throwhand. The less space there is to whip, the lower the chances of you missing unless you’re like right next to your throwhand

I like to have the yoyo close to my non throw hand so I can throw more slack, but I bring my throw hand quite close to the yoyo towards the end of the motion where the string actually whips around the yoyo. The other thing is make sure you aim for the half of the yoyo closer to you, I remember as a beginner it felt like this trick had a random outcome because I wasn’t focusing on aiming.
