Acetal/POM poll. What would you like me to call it?

  • Keep calling it acetal, it’s fine.
  • Stop calling it acetal, everyone says POM so use that name.
  • I don’t real l care either way.

Don’t care and don’t see why it’s a big deal.

I don’t really care but I think more people understand POM

I just like bothering people, to be honest :man_shrugging:

That said, I agree with @andy569, when in Rome do as the Romans do

The reason for the poll was to get a gauge as to whether it’s confusing people somewhat. It looks like it doesn’t really matter so far, but I think it’s probably a better idea to call it POM for everyone’s sake.

I voted ‘don’t care’…but I don’t mean that to be rude! haha :stuck_out_tongue:

He added that option after I responded that I don’t care. I also don’t mean in it in a rude way, I just really don’t care either way.

Oh I know. I didn’t think you were being rude!

I have no preference either way, but POM is what comes to my mind faster so I prefer that.

I personally don’t mind since acetal is accepted terminology for POM, but as a scientist I view the term ‘acetal’ as a functional group with regards to chemistry. If you want to market to the outside yoyo community I’d stick with the less ambiguous POM.

Delrin is wrong answer, since it is a brand.

As long as you don’t call it derlin

I think you should make a yoyo that is 1/2 Celcon and 1/2 Duracon, with Ultraform rings on one half and Kepital rings on the other. But if that won’t work, 100% generic polyformaldehyde with polyacetal weight rings would be fine.

I mean uh, mostly you should make yoyos. Cause they’re cool!!
