Looks like it would play nice! 1). Did you make that? 2). Is it delrin?

Yup, made it myself. It’s ertacetal, probably just another name for delrin (not sure but I always thought delrin is a brand name).

Looks fun!

This looks really neat

From what I see, Ertacetyl is Mitsubishi’s brand name for various types of POM. POM-H (homopolymer acetal) is also called delrin. Not sure if POM-C (copolymer acetal) is the one typically classified as POM in yoyo designs, or if that’s something else. Maybe someone can clarify.

Thanks for making me look that up - at least I learned a little. And props on doing it yourself! Would be cool to see your process sometime.

Most of these are made when I’m working at a nuclear power plant, I work there a few months a year when they do large repairs, there’s a lot of waiting involved so I make yoyo’s to make time go by.
Camera’s are prohibited, but I’ll remember to take some pics if I ever find some time to make some yoyo’s after hours at the workshop I usually work at.
I don’t mind showing how I machine yoyo’s. I’d love to see how others make them, to learn new tricks
