Is it the one that just sold for $20 on ebay? If so that is a mid 90’s (BC made) if I had to guess.
Yes, it is the $20 ebay No Jive. I looked closer at the package picture. It is BC.
Cool yoyo, looks like it’s in great shape! A friend of mine has a really early one, he lived out in San Francisco in the late 70’s. They play great.
Wow, nearly 2 months have already passed in the Fixed Axle '15. Seems like the time has flown so far. But, I have to admit that this has motivated me to practice MUCH more than I ever have in the past. I would go days if not weeks between throwing, but I think I’ve only missed 3 days so far in 2015 and those were when I went on a weekend vacation with my fianceé and her parents to Napa. For some reason, she thinks that wine tastings and yoyos don’t go together.
Anyway, I’m getting pretty consistent with my left hand and I’ll make another movie by the end of this week (and month as it turns out). However, it’s just going to look a lot like my previous movie flipped around. And then in March, that’s when the true learning starts. That’s when I plan start 2 handed looping exclusively. I think I’m going to get a hockey goalie’s mask and some shoulder pads though. It’ll make me braver.
“This 2013 Cab pairs great great with my 2014 eh…”
Seems legit to me
I’ve been doing lots of kendamaing with my brother. Still doing fixed axle 15 and having been getting a little bored of yoyoing so I took a few day break and I’m back at it making better strings and making new tricks,
Anyone pick up the new design TMBR Irving? I ordered one today.
I like the look of it quite a bit.
Also, anyone have interest in an H-shape fixed axle with low walls? I’m gonna try it out again, but it’s honestly been sitting in my case for over a month without being thrown. I’ll post some pics of it up later. L
I look forward to reading what you think about it.
I’ve been making a H-Shape. It’s actually a wooden Dang. I modeled it after it. First yoyo I’ve made. I’ve got some other ideas that I’m going to try also.
Been back and forth about getting a new Irving since they came out. Put one in my cart, then talk myself out of it, cause I really do not “need” another yoyo. Then the next day I go through the same thing again.
This one is technically my Valentines gift from my girlfriend. That’s the only way I could justify buying anything that isn’t the play simply no jive or the Fidalgo.
Browsers are weird. ^^^ This picture shows up fine when looking at it on my iphone or ipad, but when viewing it on my computer with Chrome, the pic shows up as a broken link. And in Firefox, it doesn’t show that there’s a picture at all. It’s just the text.
I’m glad I got to see it on my ipad though. That’s a pretty yoyo. Higby does some amazing things with his talents.
i got a hold of a no jive on tuesday and have already burned through three strings…
What strings are you using? I just had a string sent with my Wood Rocks snap on my 2nd or 3rd throw.
the regular yoyoxpert cotton string… i just started out on tuesday so i dont know if its normal or not.
Depends on the strength of the throw, sleep times…etc. etc. also, I’ve had the type 8’s snap in a couple throws like that, while others from the same pack last days. Just depends on the particular string. The type 10’s last longer usually, but play differently as well.
Really? I’ve had the same string on my no jive for days now and it’s still going strong.
If you throw hard it’ll burn faster; throwing softer will make it last longer.
I know. My throws gravitate towards harder throws.
i throw pretty hard… could it be do to the axle covering… i was watching a video with ed haponik and he said the width should be about a penny to two pennies… would that affect the spin time and the string especially with the no jive symbols right there.
