Got mine today. Gap is not an issue at all. In fact, if it wouldn’t have been discussed I may not have noticed. Takes plenty of wraps with no slowing.
You can feel the lightness on the string for sure. Binds and regens are amazing. Need more playtime to give a more thorough report but wanted to get in and let people know about that gap.
Also I got the purple B-grade and at first thought I got one with no ano flaws whatsoever. I had to look hard to finally find a faded oval spot under the rim on one half about the size of my index fingertip.
I couldn’t be happier with this one. Also the enamel paint really pops - really a super classy looking throw.
From what i heard all the b grades had that mark under the rim. Definitely worth the discounted price. I dont know however the performance difference between a regular stainless and gold plated DS bearings but id doubt theres much disparity
I just spent a good hour running this baby through everything I can throw at it. Didn’t snag up once during play - even on spots that are normally touchy like coming back up the front from the under boing, or some GT formations that you sometimes have to be careful to keep tension on the exit. Beautiful stability - turns solidly through multiple gyro flops without spinning out and easily controlled. Again, you feel it is light on the string, so you can push it into speed if you want, but for my money it’s best enjoyed with some chill tunes and a flowy vibe. Keeps loops nicely as well so stuff like Branding stays open nicely on that last flip. Binds and regens are delicious.
I predict it’s gonna be hard to pry these away from hands that have them. Easily takes a spot among the Grail and Life and Diptych.
Same here… I have to say it’s a great throw! Unique feeling, a little bit unforgivable, but very still comfortable! Great job, jens and charles… That B-grade is sooo smoooooth, and the anno defect is not noticeable.
So, the Triptych is really good. I had some time with it this weekend; switching between it, the Diptych and the Grail. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first. I thought maybe it played too much like a Diptych.
It feels (and looks) like they took a Diptych and somehow moved some of the mid-weight to the rim and the center. It feels more stable than the Dip but still has a lot of float to it. I’m really liking how it plays so far.
