Which version is better; the ones with the hex nut or the star shaped nut?
I guess I’m asking which one lasts longer or wears near the nut least?

I believe the star shape nut was the later model. I think the original models were hex nut and there was a problem with them getting stripped. I’m pretty sure you want the star nut.
