I was wondering how come sometimes when we play 2a the string of the yoyo can come off(i dont mean break)i know this is normal but are there ways to prevent this??? By the way this is off topic but how come my silicone comes off when i play my 1a yoyo and its not pad.
Every inside loop with the right hand makes a the string twist looser. the mor eit loosens the larger the loop is inside the gap of the yoyo. when it gets too big it flies off. your left hand you don’t need to worry as much because every loop the string gets tighter.
The silicone wears down and eventually loosens from the groove
Yeah. To keep it from falling off, do some outside loops too or even just do some UFO or Sidewinder.
Stakeichi answered the silicone question.
Actually, isn’t it the opposite? Right tightens, while left loostens…
Nope. Just tried it for a few minutes and it loosens with your right.
To prevent it, just do some strong sidewinders. Make sure you get a good solid throw, so your sidewinders are more powerful.
About the untwisting, it depends on the string you are using.
If you are using the normal strings:
Inside loops:
Right hand - Loosen
Left hand - Tighten
Outside loops/Hop the fence:
Right hand - Tighten
Left hand - Loosen
If you are using left handed strings:
Inside loops:
Right hand - Tighten
Left hand - Loosen
Outside loops/Hop the fence:
Right hand - Loosen
Left hand - Tighten
Look at this video, at 1:15, he starts his signature i think. Watch towards the end of the trick, BOTH of his yoyos fly off their strings.
Maybe its not his signature, but I think its one of his best 2a tricks, its the most awesome imo.
