5a in a laminate floor apt sucks

Got some duncan dice and a plastic Magicyoyo K2 the other day to start learning 5a and after dropping it for the third time Im not willing to practice in my apt hahah its so loud. My apt is the most quiet place ever so sudden loud sounds are so abrasive. Guess I have to go out in public and look like an idiot :yo-yo: :expressionless:

Get yourself a nice rug. Not only will it protect the floor and the throw, it’ll probably add a pop of color to your space

Thats a good idea. But the ceiling and walls are gonna get smacked haha!

When I started 5a I also practiced outside because I didn’t feel comfortable with slinging a counterweight and yoyo around inside my home

Find a nice corner in a quiet park. :+1:

@YoYoMa1 definitely on-point. I spent a couple days trying and it became immediately apparent that the only safe place to practice (at least from a beginners standpoint) is outside. Anything that’s not concrete or a rock should be pretty safe for a yoyo.
