I recently found a “new way” to try yoyoing that I think you guys might enjoy…The place where I always stand inside to yoyo has a window with drapes and blinds right behind my head. I have always closed both the drapes and blinds because it makes it easier to see what’s going on while yoyoing without the sun beaming in. Lately though, I’ve just been lazy and haven’t. I randomly noticed how cool it is to have a light source coming from behind directed at the yoyo string while doing tricks. When the sun is facing directly at the window youre standing in front of is when it is the best. Slacks look so much more exaggerated and easy to see. Has anyone else ever tried this? I swear it almost makes landing slacks easier because you can see better what the string is doing. It also can be distracting at times too but it’s fun to mess around with.

Yo-yoing outside when it’s nice out is awesome. Colors pop more so it’s no surprise that landing trucks become a bit easier. I digress that this only works with minimal wind though. Having an open window is a great idea!

I always prefer sunshine, best if it’s behind me.

I prefer throwing outside for a few reasons, lighting being one of them. Get some sun on your skin, solid lighting, plenty of room… you just have to watch for the wind and the ground. Having a yoyo smack concrete hard is not for the faint of heart (but hey you’ll grow as a person)
