I throw almost nothing but 4A nowadays. One reason is that in my opinion (I repeat MY OPINON!)
4A is more left handed friendly. I got tired of re-adjusting my tension on every throw with 1A, it is especially annoying with slack tricks. And yes I do make lefty string on occasion but I have just learned to love 4A ;D
I love not having to constantly adjust string tension as well! You mention making our own string. I’m currently using yye colored 100% poly for offstring. I’d love to hear what has worked with 4A as far as your homemade string and store-bought.
