2A Loopers pay it forward Hornets and Match

So here’s the deal let’s do three weeks per person with two pairs of loopers (4 yoyo total) to keep it short enough these don’t die before getting to a bunch of folks and some room to spread the love between two sets of throws.

Let’s make it a pair of match (which are loop 720 bodies with sunrise spacers/bearings and a pair of hornets which with the recent worlds winners seems like a good choice for 2A pay it forward.

Also @Slestak75 added a yoyofactory go to the pif.

Cheapest shipping is usually through pirate ship.

Edit: when/if these crack or the starbursts wear out I would want to add them back to my collection so this pay it forward will eventually end due to wear and tear.

Note: willing to let this go international however I won’t burden the next person who has it. If both parties agree I’m cool with it most likely the international person may have to cover some of the shipping but I’ll let folks figure out what makes sense and if it is doable.

Rules:
I will send the loopers on to the next person to post, ”I’ll take it,” here, in this this thread. DM’s don’t count, it needs to be in thread to keep everything fair (Continguous 48 states only, please). You will get these great throws to use and enjoy, completely free, for three weeks (give or take a few days)

HOWEVER! By accepting this throw, you also accept the responsibility of creating a similar post at the end of your three week period, as well as paying the shipping fees in sending it on to the next person.

There are goodies in this box. string and various stickers and the like take what you want and add what you can. Try not to run the leave enough fresh string for the next person. Goodies don’t have to be looping nor yoyo related but it helps if they are. There is also a travel log write down your thoughts and put where it was and when on its journey. Also take pictures and share your experience here on the forum.

Are those loop ups metal or plastic spacers? If they’re plastic are you including a suction cup and wrench in the package? Links to videos showing people how to adjust them would also be kind of important.

I main loop ups for 2A and idk if they’re really a great idea to include in a pay it forward unless they’re metal spacer ones, but at that point they’re really nothing special.

Swapping the loop ups for hornets seems like a better idea, especially since hornets are pretty unique as far as common good looper options go.

They’re the metal ones

Ah okay, yeah metal spacer loop ups I don’t think are going to be interesting for anybody to try outside of just being expensive. I think the people who’d actually be interested in trying loop ups before spending money on them would only want to play the plastic spacers (unless somebody just starting out with 2A really likes JPLS sponsored players and wants to learn on loopers that cost double/triple the price of everything else).

Hornets and sunrises (if you have them) seem like they’d probably be good picks for a pay it forward tbh.

Yep metal spacer loop ups I considered doing a pair of 2020 but that’s a bunch of parts that could end up getting messy with someone not as familiar.

Yeah I’m willing to Change either or both I have a set of hornets and a set of match that could get subbed in here or I guess a set of 720 if folks really want to go that route either way I’ll let whoever wants to claim It first choose and then we go from there.

Funny enough I have sunrise spacers but never got the actual yoyos

So yeah as mentioned above I can swap in a pair of match, hornets or 720 instead…

The Match is equivalent to a Sunrise. They are both 720 bodies with B bearings.

For me the idea of the Hornets is good. I’ve wanted to try them and even though they’re not expensive I just haven’t. I was also interested what one could expect from a nearly $30 looper. I have a Pay it Forward on the way and I only want to be responsible for one at a time but I’m in on this in the near future.

Your Match colors btw :ok_hand:

I’ll take’em! I don’t care which set.

Sounds good seems folks would rather a sunrise like yoyo like the match and the hornets which makes sense due to worlds so I’ll make those the ones.

IMHO this is the way to go, particularly because it’s my impression that there are fewer 2A players on the forums, so people are more likely to be beginner level. Hornets and Match in their stock configuration are both quite beginner friendly.

Yeah and readily available too which makes things easier if 2A clicks and the hornets have the worlds win behind them so folks might be mildly interested in trying them. I’ll cleanup the original post and send the hornets and match to @rkalajian to get things started.

Updated title and original post to make things more consistent.

The yoyos arrived safely today!

Update: I have already hit myself in the face SIX times!

I hit my chest a lot but almost never my face. What are you working on?

Just regular loops. I think the string may be too long for me.

I found this video helpful for setting up loopers.

I play with my string around 30” long.

Yeah adjust your string length. I hit my chest and arm a bit. It happens.

It’s just about that time!
