And you have an unreleased beast of a plastic yoyo, not all great things come in plastic.
it all depends on how you look at it you have an good looking fun kendama and a plastic yoyo that looks good and is not made by clyw.
I’d want an approved kendama because I like doing things the proper way, and I had no interest getting into kendamas, and wasn’t at all in expectations.
Since it’s a box with yyf yoyos, people would want yyf metals.
The majority of kendamas (including many that are highly desired) are not JKA certified.
fanboys… fanboys everywhere… i would have been elated with a normal (not a high end) metal and the regen… and no kendama whatsoever 
that would have been beast!

CZM8 + ReGen would have been ideal. If I wanted a kendama I would have bought one (and i do have one, a tk16, but I’m a newb and see very little value in getting another one.) in the “YoYoFactory Mystery Box” you expect YYF products, more specifically yoyos. I’m sure I’ll use and enjoy the Catchy but it’s just not “worth” that much to me. I do feel sorry for people who got two boxes, though. Since the only variable is Grav-Proto v. Shaqler-North, having a second box is pretty much pointless (unless you wanted 2 ReGens).
If anyone wants to trade their Proton, let me know!
Thanks for taking the time to film that man, it’s great to be able to see the unveiling despite not managing to procure a box. 
Shu-Ta, CZM8 and Cypher would have been impressive enough, but to throw a Proton on top… man that was an absolute steal. The Proton is one of YYF’s best yoyos in my opinion, so I wasn’t expecting it to just turn up like that. Absolutely fantastic value for money right there, kudos to whoever bagged one of those boxes.
I can only imagine what the collectors box looks like…
Well there are firsts for everything, guess this is my first time I’m disappointed badly with YYE. This is my opinion and I am sure a lot of people feel the same way as me, but I’m sure some won’t admit it, and I’m sure there are a lot who don’t feel this way and are happy with their box, and you know what, that is totally cool too. But…
I got the new black plastic gentry sig throw, and (the same throw I got last year) a victor protostar plus a kendama. I understand the new sig throw, but putting the same throw you had in last years mystery box in this years is truly a bummer. On top of that, as nice as the new sig plastic is, it is still a plastic and I was for sure I was gonna nab a nice new metal. I will never use the kendama so that was a total waste for me.
I took a gamble last year, and got my favorite throw I still currently have (my hubstack genesis). This year I paid $50 for a gentry stein plastic throw… This year the mystery box was totally not worth it. I wanted some color for sure in my box…it was all black, bleh. Oh well guess next year I will not be going in on mystery boxes. I know the $50 boxes were hard to get rid of this year. I hate to say it but I’m almost sure they will not sell out next year.
My take on the box is that it was a total bust. Didn’t like anything in it and wish I would have bought a new DM2 which I had been looking at.
But as I stated, this is my opinion. And lets face it guys, this is a gamble! Thats part of the mystery! Plus I had a nice chance to win a grand prize so that is cool too.

ya i know i might get a lot of flac but dang i got 2 $50 box’s and i felt sick to my stomach after i had found out what i had gotten a kendama but dang now i got two but i just feel like i got took thought expert wouldnt do that i know better now

And for the people complaining about the $50 box… Have you even played the Regen much? It’s an absolutely awesome plastic. That alone is worth the $50 you paid. The Shaqlerstar/Protostar is also good, although I can understand not wanting another if you already have one. That being said, the mystery box is just that, a MYSTERY. It’s a gamble. You got your money’s worth, and there’s no denying that. So please stop complaining, you’re being extremely ungrateful and acting really entitled. YYE and YYF don’t have to do this, and they’re being very generous giving you 50% off some great throws. If you don’t like everything, then sell them, I’m sure you can easily get your $50 back.

I sure hope yyf does the 100’s again cause im never going to look at the 50’s the same way.

But really had the box included a metal Super G and a *Star, would the deal be that much better?

not really, I would say people would be satisfied with a REGEN and a Supernova.
I’m back after a 3 day self-imposed hiatus so as not to have the mystery spoiled for me! I got a $50 box and a $100 box, and I couldn’t be happier! The Proton alone makes the Premium box worth it, but throw in the Shu-Ta, CMZ8 and Cypher and it’s ridiculous value. On the $50 box, I love the “ReGen” or whatever it’s going to be called, the Protostar is awesome (I got a Gravitsky edition) and the Kendama, it’s not my thing but it’ll be a fun distraction every now and then.
Anyone got a $200 Collector’s box yet??
But then the math is all off. You’d be getting $130 for 50. That’s a different deal than what was offered.
The deal itself may not be the greatest bang for the buck ever, but to call it lousy is hyperbole. It’s a solid deal, but some people were just expecting more. To be truthful, I wouldn’t feel any different had it been a metal Super G and a Onestar. Then again, I don’t get as hung up on material as some.
The last mystery box (worlds) YYF promised two metals. They delivered. This time around they promised 50% off and a new signature. They delivered. Not metal. So what.
Same here, give me a solid playing delrin (or POM in this case) over a so-so metal any day.
The only thing that would have irritated me was getting another protostar mainly because I have the same gravistky gold one.
Regen - I loved the super G, I would have loved this
