I’m currently on my limit with my parents buying me throws, so I’m trying really hard not to care about this deal too much and just appreciate what i got.
I was in a car on the highway when the Facebook app on my outdated Samsung Galaxy Captivate (see POS) rang alerting me that a page I was watching updated. I checked and it was the counter. I proceeded to pull out my credit card and count down. I added a box to my cart and checked out, typing every last pick of shipping and payment info in using my phone. If I can get one under those conditions this isn’t that hard.

I logged on when 60 were available and got nothing. I tried for 30 minutes both times only to reach error screens. Then watched as the supply reached zero. Same as last year. My money will be spent elsewhere on new yoyos.
I do wish they just did a lottery system. It wouldn’t lag the site and everyone would have the same chance instead of just the people who waited getting one.
I also just thought of a good tip to get a better chance of getting more 
If you open multiple browsers when it’s time, the page may only crash on some of them and not others. I know I have like three browsers just on my computer. Consider it
^ I think multiple browsers and multiple devices by individual users is what contributed to the crash last year. It was system overload.

I agree. I had no trouble following instructions, and plenty of others, of all ages, could figure it out with no problem. I hope a lot of people don’t like the sale, so those who really want a deal, who can follow instructions, and set aside a block of time in a four day period to watch for an announcement, can reap the benefits. The more who don’t like it, the better for the rest of you. I think those who make this a definite goal for their shopping week, will get one easily. Good luck with the next round. It’s fun getting the updates of success and strategy.

8 drops with so far at least 50+ per drop… if they carry on this way you’re looking at 400+ boxes, so I think that most people that want one should be able to get one.
I’ll be amazed if they don’t have Equilaterals in. They’ve been on sale on YYF EU for the past year or so and they still haven’t sold.

I’d be cool with the Equilateral, because it’s a YYF I don’t own. I’d love to get something different, or something that’s a double of a model that I really love. So, finding out the contents should be interesting. YoyoExpert commented that aside from the 1 in 10 $200 boxes, and the one $400 box, the remaining boxes are not “identical,” but they all contain “similar” products. So, there may be more variety this year from box to box. He also said better deal this year than last year’s box, so I’m really curious.
The rumor going around was that there are 500 boxes. When I divided that by 8, I got an odd number 62.5, so if there is truth to the rumor…“about” 60 per release. I believe when I bought during the first release, I saw the stock at 65. Someone saw a slightly lower number at the top of the second release. So, the rumor, so far, is fairly accurate, if each release stocked will be of similar quantity. Of course because of the math, they would not all be even. So, I think everyone who keeps at it will get one, because as the week progresses, more people will have it already. But, on the other hand, hype can build with the passage of time. We’ll see what happens. 
I saw an unboxing video from 2010 mystery box sale. They only had 35 boxes to sell for $35 each. The box contained a Hectic, a Dienasty, string, a DVD, stack of trading cards, stickers and a yo-yo holder. That’s my memory anyway. So, they really have stepped up the quantity to allow more people to take advantage of this. We could all be trying for a mere 35 boxes like the kid said in the YouTube video. That would be worse.

I sometimes work odd hours, and when things are slow, I check on you, and make sure you have breakfast…the most important meal of the day. Mmmm, chicken and bacon. I hope you loaded up on the bacon too.

I did indeed. I don’t do it every day obviously (lest my poor heart suffer a salty salty fate), but I was browsing the sammich aisle this morning and it just caught my eye. Wholegrain bread, smoked bacon, lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, mayo… it was the brekkie of Champions.
What’s a traditional breakfast for you over in the USA then? I love the way you guys have maple sauce on your bacon… or is that just the Canadians…
