I think its called tourniquet style, and that its played with the string attached to your arm at the elbow. Still cool nonetheless though!
ckelly is correct, it’s called tourniquet. The slipknot is placed on your bicep (like a tourniquet, which is a strap that’s tightened around your arm to cut off blood flow)
I’ve made some of the string before, and I got a 10 pack with the mystery box. Very fun! 
Jensen has a tutorial on how to connect two regular strings together to make one super long string…for us broke folks. 
I’ve heard about the Tourniquet style, but I haven’t really seen any videos showing it off though. If anyone knows of any videos showcasing it, I’d love to know about them.

how do you throw it if its attached to your arm!!!
You have the string run through your hand. sort of like the 5a throw
throwing and catching isn’t that hard. what I generally do is unwind it until it reaches my hand. then I make like a twist around my middle finger to make a sort of pseudo slipknot around my finger, then just throw it normally.
For a video showcasing it, there should be one on the super long string page that kimmitt made. other than that one though, I’m not sure.
