yea its john ando’s new signature yoyo called the protostar, to me it just looks like a plastic superstar, and i know that they are going all death to metal and stuff, but why make the world champion use an all plastic superstar???
Its not all plastic, its got metal weight rings. And why wouldn’t he use one? Worlds 2003-2006 were all won on metal rimmed yoyos. This is a metal weighted yoyo. You don’t need a metal to do cool stuff

The Protostar at $ 40. Meh. I’d rather get a metal-rimmed over that.
Well it is metal weight ringed, so its somewhat like a metal-rimmed. But from the pic, you can see that the gap is huge, and there are hardly any walls, just response, to rub on. Very good for flops. Probably better then most yyj’s.
