Anyway, enjoying my Cypher, haven’t taken it apart yet so I have no idea how tight the bearing seat is. But I know my little brother’s shutter seat was so tight that when putting it back together the bearing was actually tearing up the anno on the seat. We ended up carefully sanding it to clean it up, and then added a little lube to the seat to help us get it off in the future. Haven’t had a problem since. Your mileage may vary.
I do wonder why YYF has such consistently tight bearing seats – definitely a pain.

have never had a so called “pocket throw” and I love the way this little thing feels. gonna put an AMMO string on it and see how it responds. the weight is awesome in my hand.
my Cypher feels good, a bit light for me personally but good feel that I will get used to throwing around…

The Bearing seats on my Popstar and Cypher were reletivly tight but I had no problem getting them off with the YYF Multi tool.
Mines perfect.

It’s more than likely the way you throw.
how long does yours sleep normally?
It’s either your throw, or the fact that YYF Spec bearings aren’t all that great. No matter how perfectly I’ve cleaned my Spec bearings, they just don’t match up to my 10-balls, CenterTrac, or Crucial Grooved.
how do you remove a bearing without a bearing remover?
Small strong fingers. Or pliers if you don’t have those
