Jap tv series - My family
Hey guys I am updating the wiki page yoyos in the media. Since this page was created in 2005 I figured we needed to make the content more modern and get some better UI experience in there. I am finishing up migrating the content over to category pages
And also adding extra entries I am aware of and tapping into my network of people to get more details. Still a major work in progress and if you have more mentions, or can provide more details on content above, please either get a wiki account and get the content up or you can chuck it on here for me to take it. Thanks.
Saw this on one of the Simpsons Tree house of Horror episodes. Yoyo planes around the 0:55 mark, enjoy!
I saw this one the other day too, would be so cool if it was metal haha:
At a book fair with my daughters… 4 and 7 y/o…
I had to buy the book. I’ll read it to my girls this weekend.
Very cool and imagine that! It’s obvious a real thrower was involved as it actually looks authentic!
I couldn’t find pictures online but on Cuphead season 3 episode 1, Cuphead plays with a yo-yo. Even walks the dog and rocks the cradle!
Ladybug and Cat Noir. According to the site: Yo-yo | Miraculous Ladybug Wiki | Fandom
“I can do incredible things with my yo-yo. The string goes on forever, and I can use it to move around or tie up my opponents. I can even make it spin super fast to use it as a shield.”
… But can she boingy-boing?
by the looks of it, possibly the magicyoyo K1
Home Alone: When the annoying neighbor kid Mitch Murphy snoops through the McCallister family’s bags, he finds a yoyo. You can see it around the 1:52 mark in this clip.
“It’s a fact, you can’t stay mad at anybody when you’re playing with a yo-yo”
Monk is a severely underrated show btw
I stumbled onto this in Craigslist. My apologies if it breaks any rules; but it was too funny not to post:
My kiddo bought that book from the school’s book fair.
Also the new Grass starter in Pokemon Violet/Scarlet evolves into Floragato who seems to use a yoyo.
by the looks of it, im pretty sure that was a duncan ballistic but spray painted with gold. The profile and caps are identical.
I think that the Ballistic has a flatter rim than this and the sounds it makes reminds me of a clutched, auto-return device. If it is a Ballistic, Duncan’s first bearing yoyo let’s not forget, then the string must have been quadruple wrapped to get such a return from the end of the string.
Season 6 finale of Rick and Morty had Rick using a yoyo as a not caring joke. Sure it was just going up and down, yet how many of us has that been.
