Completely different. Blink plays a lot lighter. Attune plays fairly solid for its size. Other than that it’s mainly about shape and width.
Blink is insanely fast. The Attune is a stability monster. The Blink is a little more comfortable in the hand due to the width and slightly flatter rims. Not that the Attune is uncomfortable by any means.

Hey Nathan, long time no see.
That’s seems about right but what puzzles me is why they did not take the Laser down. When I contacted YYR about the Laser about their restock they did say that they would add a few Raw in a few days. I picked one as soon as they added a handful a little over a months and a half ago. Sadly I sold it a week ago for college summer money. But back to topic at hand, when I did ask they also mentioned that they already have a few colored Lasers at hand. I’m guessing they are just waiting for ether the right time to add them or a bunch more. As for the DRAUPNIR, I’m guessing that they might have a a few new colors and finally gonna release some of this year’s 2014 line up.
Ok, for all those who read this, don’t quote me on this. I’m just going off of what I think sounds logically sound and am going off of what I was told.
New Color Draupnirs, Colored Lasers and Colored Dazzlers from what I’ve read somewhere :
Colored dazzlers? I won’t be getting another dazzler, but that sounds awesome.
Waiting on a colored laser.
Think i’ll grab me a colored Laser and Draupnir and turn my raw ones into carry-arounds, although the thought of dinging them terrifies me lol.
Hey guys, I don’t have any YYR throws but I want one and I’ve got a $150 gift coming my way. With the upcoming 4th of July sale I think I could probably get $200 worth of throws for around that price tag. If you had to pick what would be the best first throw for me, what would it be?
I like anything size wise I just want/need to be able to relax with it. I throw to relieve stress and relax after a long day so I need to have something fun that I keep wanting to come back to more and more.
From YYE I can’t recommend the 44Clash enough, too good for a mortal man
There are just too many options without any specs to narrow down. Some of my personal favorites are Mr. Butcher and the Fragment. I would say the Fragment is the most fun and unique.
A fun YYR that’s readily available on the B/S/T for a good price is the ReClash. Probably one of the most fun YYRs ever made imo. Dazzler, Fragment, Uragment, PerfectStar, Acrophobia, Blink, E=MC^2 are also fun, but i really love the ReClash. Non-YYR, if fun’s your goal, you can’t beat a CLYW Avalanche, OD Code 1, or the new GenYo Amplitude. Those plus the ReClash are my go-tos for fun. The YoYoJoker Trancer is also a blast, especially with a D bearing.
I’m really digging the ReClash but there’s only 1 left here
I don’t thin I’d recommend the ReClash as a first approach to YYR, it’s good, I don’t deny it, but so apart from the rest of th YYR line-up
If I said 52-56 is preferred and comfortable in the hand, what would you recommend?
Ok, are there any others you think are “fun” aside from the 44Clash?
Undersized: Messiah
Midsized: Blink or Fragment
Fullsized: Mr Butcher or Sleipnir
Oversized: Overdrive
Fragment, Uragment, Perfectstar, Acrophobia, and Blink. None are on YYE though :-\
Ah yea the Messiah is a really fun yoyo if you like a solid yoyo and don’t mind undersized. It’s not for everyone tjough, seems like a love it or hate it kind if throw
No YYR yoyo is designed to be “fun”, some enjoy them as they are, luckily for them
I had a bunch of fun with the overdrive. Still my favorite oversize throw. The lightness of it really gives it a unique feel. I’ve had fun with the clashcube as well.
yeah, I’m not saying you can’t have fun with a YYR, just that they’re not meant to be fun. For me, “fun” makes no sense when it comes to yoyos they’re all fun at some point, even the DV888, but there is no more subjective aspect in yoyoing than “fun”
