Edit : I didn’t notice that Garrett had posted it here too - it’s not much of a mystery if you tell people what it is before the first one has even shipped…
I completely agree with you here, ITS NO MYSTERY NOW… Whats the point of a MYSTERY PACK if your just going to tell people what it is… Even though A long time ago I said they should make a Metal one, and its what I always wanted… I find it stupid they showed what was in it. In FACT its BEYOND stupid that its RETARDED. We know 2 ITEMS now of the MYSTERY pack… Actually I changed my mind. We know what all 3 items will be, as it isn’t hard to guess… I’m still happy I’m getting it. But I’m pretty mad at the same time. So I’m not sure how to feel.
If you could refrain from the use of the “retarded” word that would be better, but I understand your frustration. Just try not to use that word as that’s not the correct way to use it

But people who pick up at Tokyo will eventually show pics. It doesn’t matter. Because they would make a thread or post on IG.
So then don’t call it a mystery pack, just tell people what it is up front. I’m happy it’s a metal Replay and would’ve bought one anyway, but don’t bother having a “mystery” then give away the ending before anyone has a chance to receive it.
I totally agree. This is my first mystery box and I saw that post earlier. Even though I’m excited to try out the Metal Replay, I wished I had never clicked on the link to find out what it was since it’s not going to be much of a surprise anymore. Oh well.
I knew at the time of purchase, that people would pick these up in Japan, before mine came in the mail or even shipped out. I saw the option to pick up in Tokyo or have it shipped to me. So, I was on notice that I probably would see photos of the mystery on Instagram, before they shipped out. So, it didn’t really surprise me that by the 14th, after people were in Japan picking up their mystery, that I would know what is in the box by now. I live in Massachusetts, the same state as YoyoExpert, and every time (except for one), someone has revealed mystery box contents before I got to open the box. For most people, these are not a total surprise by the time you get the box in your hands. If you really don’t want to know, you have to stay off social media, forums, and not talk to any yo-yo players. It’s not something I intend to do to protect the mystery, and it’s not worth that kind of effort, so it is what it is. I usually like knowing as soon as possible what’s in the box anyway. My guess is that some of the locals are walking into YoyoExpert to pick up orders in person today too. They will be posting photos any time now. For me, this was to be expected. And, part of the pack is still a mystery to me right now. :-\
It was a mystery “at the time of purchase,” and that has been the only mystery that I ever expected anyway. I’m ecstatic that this is a metal Replay. I would never have guessed that at all. I’m really excited to see it. YoyoFactory is doing great with these plastic/metal versions of the same design. They should keep it up. I’m loving it! ;D

In hindsight, I suppose I could have created a new post with a spoiler alert… whoops.
Even though it’s no longer a mystery it’s still a great new yo-yo, but I can understand the disappointment. So if anyone is really disappointed by the killer new Metal Replay, feel free to give us a call or send an email and I will personally take care of canceling and refunding your order for you.

I had a feeling it was going to be a replay, can’t wait to get it in my hands now.
Funny thing is, fellow YYE member ThinkH2O and I were discussing how neat it would be to see YYF do a metal version of the Replay as we both were impressed with the plastic version and how well it plays for its price. This was probably 1.5 weeks ago, and began talking about yoyos with similar shapes. It looks like this discussion became a reality 
it was clearly obvious that it was a metal replay even before your post Garrett, so I wouldn’t worry about it. YYF released so many pictures of it there was no doubt in my mind of what it was, and honestly that’s why I ordered mine. The last couple of mystery boxes haven’t been my cup of tea, but once I knew it was a metal replay, I jumped on that.

Tokyo is 14 hours ahead of the US, at least Illinois where I’m at. I’m surprised there are no posts about the Mystery Box from anyone there.
It’s a mystery when you’re ordering it. All you know is YYF put care in compiling the mystery pack and it’s going to cost less than the items would at retail, with some of those items never even going to retail. It’s hard to expect to not have a mystery pack spoiled if you’re also planning to peruse a yoyo forum, let alone the very one which exclusively sold that yoyo pack, while you’re waiting to be surprised.
