And when I got my package, one of the pads in my Cypher wasn’t fully seated, but it was easy to press in and it stuck plenty well. Played with it for a day until I decided to monkey snot all of my throws, and didn’t have any further issues. Just make sure you pressed them in well, everybody.
Well, I’m glad you cleared that up, so that kills the hoax of the “new green pads.” It was fun while it lasted. The Proton is mostly blue too, so that’s why they appeared green in there.
Cypher is getting great reviews, all it needs is a YoyoExpert color scheme for the production run, and we’re cooking with gas.
The Consistent Pad . The yellow pad is reliable in how consistent it plays as it wears down. Unlike many of the other pads that have a sweet spot once they are broken in, the yellow pad is as good when you first swap it into the yo-yo as it is just before it is worn down to the core.
Yeah, I can’t square the yellow arc on the associated diagram with the “steady performance” of the text. The “white” and “natural” arcs appear to be much more aligned with their respective writeups.
Does anyone have any input on the yellow pads’ performance vs its writeup?
Yep, sorry to bust the mystery pack mystery pad myth. Haha.
The Cypher really is getting awesome reviews so far. I know that I’m definitely impressed. I’m also hoping they end up eventually releasing it in some sweet colorways. An Alien Galaxy Cypher would probably be an insta-buy for me.
I’d also like to see them keep the word Cypher encoded in the release engravings.
I have spare pads. I have spare bearings. I have no need for either with my Cypher. I have been using it everyday since I received it and I am very happy with it. The only fault I have with it is the same with my other favored yoyo’s and that is that the player (me) is not that good.
^ I’m enjoying mine too. By the way, YoyoFactory just posted a first look at the production Cyborg on Instagram. The engraving we have on the blue one might be limited. What do you think? I see red pads too. ;D
I kinda disagree. I think the encoding is something cool that puts the world pack cyphers apart from the released ones. Just my opinion, either way the cypher will be a hit
