Not gonna lie, thinking on it a bit.
The discount on the starlight is sweet, but honestly thinking its a little lame that Ben at YoyoFactory thinks its okay to mystery box b grade yoyos we all know came out with vibe because these are supposed to have hubstacks.
If he had a run that actually worked and included the hubstacks, this would be DOPE. But instead they just add some filler yoyo that didnt work because nobody wants to buy them. He coukd at least toss in the hubstacks as courtesy so the owner can check out the vibe.
I hope its a cool yoyo, not trying to harsh anyone’s buz if you dig it, but YoyoFacrory could 100% do better. Easily.
My opinion, add $20 and throw in Gentry’s finger spin yoyo if you want to talk.

Any particular ‘zontal tricks you are working on or need tips on?
I can really only do skin the gerbil, i was starting to learn simple geometry, and I can kinda do horizontal Eli hops. Any tips or other tricks I should learn?
Edit: oh and I just landed horizontal 2.0 hook a couple times!
Never tried simple geometry but it looks simple enough that I could probably land it given a few tries. I think it looks like a good trick to start with. It may seem scary but try keeping your arms at 90 degrees and up if you want full 90 degree horizontal. Work up to that though. Once you learn that I would just get consistent at what you do know try other simple tricks horizontal and work your way up to more horizontal. It might be frustrating but you’ll get there.

Yeah, I figured out it was a starlight about 2 minutes after making the video😂. Normally I unscrew them to take them off the holder, I think I just got impatient trying to take the five off😂. Years ago, I think a company had packaging that you had to completely unscrew the yoyo to get it off of the packaging insert.

Wait is it standard to unscrew the yo-yo to take it off the cardboard? I just pull it off. I didn’t like you unscrewing it. Now I’m confused.

I like to think either method is acceptable🤷♂️. I always try to keep packaging as pristine as possible and years of annoying packaging training going against the rip out method.

Yyf boxes are so standard and boring that I rip them up without much thought. Yyf resale value is often low too so I treat yyf way more like toys than other more expensive brands
