Here’s what I mean in a more simple way with pictures.
-
Start with a shape.
-
Create an offset of the shape, here I’m using 7075 and I want to go a little thicker for durability so I’m doing 1.25mm, this allows you to have an even thickness throughout the body.
-
Add some rim weight! Usually I wouldn’t go for something so simple as two lines but for the sake of teaching it’ll do.
-
Fillet your corners and trim the excess lines and voila!
