Yoyo CAD & Prototyping Adventures

Here’s what I mean in a more simple way with pictures.

  1. Start with a shape.

  2. Create an offset of the shape, here I’m using 7075 and I want to go a little thicker for durability so I’m doing 1.25mm, this allows you to have an even thickness throughout the body.

  3. Add some rim weight! Usually I wouldn’t go for something so simple as two lines but for the sake of teaching it’ll do.

  4. Fillet your corners and trim the excess lines and voila!
