"Yoyo Boomer"

This thread… yeah this one right here. It went too hard. Say less. Like I get it but do we need to describe me so well. I guess I am a yo-yo boomer. Minus the Patreon thing my wife’s tired of my yoyo buying…

Damn it. I work in a tech field. And I do love smaller organic throws. And my back and hands hurt and I need medication to keep me from going off on people. I don’t like this thread anymore, it’s a mirror of my yo-yo-mortality. No one’s taking my 5 Star though. Or my Cafe Racer. Get off my lawn!

I replied on Facebook but I want to say it again here.

I’d assume that person is joking first, and just laugh at that (even if it’s not funny).

I wish to see myself as being able to see the best of people, so always assume no harm intended by the other party, unless proven otherwise.

And even if that person started with ill intent, when they see you laugh, chances are they may feel guilty or ashamed and not continue the insult.

In the off chance they become more aggressive and try to insult you more, at least you tried to become the best person you can, so be proud of that. They don’t deserve you.

Overly active on this forum

Either heavily opinionated on every single yo-yo drama or completely ignorant of all of it, no inbetween

Buys yo-yos specifically to flip them for more than retail because every hobby MUST BE MONETIZED AT ALL COSTS. Gets called out and replies “it’s worth what people will pay. price drop

If you work from home and use your desk for yo-yo storage they’re all desk yoyos.

I have a small cache on every floor of my house except my basement. The attic cache is my desk…

As a security engineer I want to report this to your CISO….

From a old post of mine. Please nobody punch me.

It’s easy to point fingers, but somehow, I feel myself turning into more of a yo-yo boomer everyday…

It sucks when you find out you’re part of a stereotype.

I’m finding this post, although done mostly in jest, against the friendly and inclusive norm of this group.

Have you had problems invalidating those caches?

Definitely, but the worst is cache misses are super expensive

Though I don’t see myself in too many of the descriptors I am a boomer and I love yoyos so I’ll accept the title. As a Yoyo Boomer here are some of my traits. Many are not shared boomer wide. Maybe at our next meeting.
I can happily play for extended periods using only my throw hand.
I don’t like stalls.
I love Duncan yoyos. Not because they are the best but because they make me happy.
I don’t know what the “best” yoyo is and don’t care.
I don’t know what an A/RT is but it always seems to revolve around a soap opera.
I think the DNA is awesome.
My preference is to buy American made products but the bulk of my collection is made in China.
I don’t enjoy throwing in front of people.
People I have met on this forum are kinder to me than any group I have been involved with in my 60+ years.
