Yoyo Appraisal Thread

Thanks a lot for the information  I agree that it is a great throw too! This may be a stupid question, but why are heavier yoyos less preferred ?

If it doesn’t have massive amounts of float, people cry.

I want heavy throws :).

Anyone have any idea of worth an evil-yo mint.

Lesula $60-70

The 05 worlds yyj would depend on model but probably 20-35

Price check. Raw SPYY Pistolero. Near mint.

That disskings barebones looks exactly like my old one. It was such an awesome player
Unfortunately the want for disskings stuff has dropped but $70 is definately possible but I’d expect more in the $60 range and the IT I fealt was also in the same range as long as they’re mint

I just posted to the BST forum before knowing that this thread existed in the general forum.  Here’s my thread:

In particular, I’m interested in knowing the values of:

Mint PPR Pistolero #6
Mint CLYW Campfire
Mint CLYW/SPYY Galactic Goose
Factory 2nd ILYY Enigma (anodization/color issue)
Factory 2nd ILYY Liopleurodon (anodization/color issue)
Various weird ILYY Wasabis – one that is likely Pearl, another that is dark grey and between 08 and 09 weight
Near mint/slightly damaged ILYY P22
Mint One Drop M1
HSpin Blood Lily

Thanks.

bump?

OK, so I won’t evaluate the P22 but I’ll try my best to help with some of the others:

The factory 2nd ILYY I suspect would be somewhere around $40-$50

The Galactic Goose on the order of $80, but I suspect they’re becoming hard to find so maybe to the right person you could get a little more

I don’t know whether any of the Wasabi’s are harder to come by than others so I’ll leave them be

A Pistolero has just been evaluated, so maybe a touch more than that one was suggested to be

The Blood Lily probably around $60-$70 at best

the Campfire maybe $60-$80. Again these mint are getting harder to find.

Hopefully MiamiBuddha and Sparhawk will point out where I’m wrong but these are my rough evaluations based on limited experience.

Thanks!

Is that raw Pistolero the same as my PPR Pistolero? They look very different to me. For one thing, mine doesn’t have the stylized spike holes.

1 of 1 Y Factor looks

1 of 6 smooth move with one don’t that is semi bad on the rim other wise in good shape

Are the el ranchero and the pistolero the same ? As I know the el ranchero has the holes as well.

So you bought Nick’s yoyos! I was eyeballing those! For the Smooth Move I’d say around $60 or $70, just depending on the person. Since the Y Factor is rim polished, I’m going to say around $40-$50. Please, by all means, correct me if you think these prices are wrong.

Different yoyos.

I believe the six shooter holes were on the earliest runs. Yours might be from the in between Pistolero and Pistolero II. Show off a pic for more help.

Very different. They reflect the popularity in shapes/sizes at the time of production. Holes on the Pistolero go through and that was challenging, hence the lack of holes on later runs (and the El Ranchero).

Yea, Pistolero and El Ranchero are very different. El Ranchero doesn’t have the holes but what he has is the pre-production Pistolero. I’d say maybe $50 on it.

It’s hard to tell in the pic he posted but the spike looks different to me than the original black or red versions with the holes. I’d like to see a couple different angles of the spike.

Must be the polish. Whatever it is, the black and red beta are my favorite. I’ve still got the box for my black one, but no yoyo in it…

I could post more pics of the spikes tomorrow. But I just check again and the holes on my spikes do indeed go through.
