Okay guys, I just updated, and cleaned out the backlog. I added all the throws that have been appraised since page 9 to the original post. Sorry I haven’t updated for a couple days!
Going by that logic though, Levi peaks retailed for $85 correct? Yet they can sell for $500 and upwards. Now that price gap is much different there, yet no one really bats an eye when that happens. My point is retail price can only be a starting point for cost. And depending on market, not even relevant when figuring cost.
Also just curious what people would put the septopus and G3T at.
Is the Septopus in the original colorway/mint? Same goes for the G3T. I bought my G3T new for $175, but would’ve expected to pay much more. A Septopus in good condition I would think $200 ish. Again maybe more to the right person. And the right person for the G3T would be me.
So I read your comment before I looked at who made it and I almost typed out asking to part ways with your G3T. Cruel cruel world but I don’t have either at the moment. The only two vsnyyc other than a tiwalker I that I’m looking for at the moment

A limited edition Yoyo painted by a man who charges a few hundred dollars for paints jobs is way different. Some things do have a value that is more than retail but a mass produced mold injected yoyo is not one of them. The only reason I would value it even at retail is because its not out and demand is there. It’s not worth more than retail though. Plus Levi peaks retailed at $85 but that was 5+ years ago. For some reason there is crazy demand for them which I don’t understand but a yeti isn’t going to go for any crazy amount of money.
Joey I think you may have a bit of bias though
I’d personally pay retail or less for a Yeti. Definitely not more. Chriss isn’t going to stop making them, I mean he has to pay off that mold somehow.
To your point link, you’re willing to wait, right now however, if you want one you’re essentially at the mercy of those who have them. And most of those who have them aren’t letting go easily. Supply is low and demand is high, that causes a price increase. Supply will go up, and will go up drastically, but at the time being that is not the case.
And to Joey, I was using that merely as a comparison to retail being low and yet people paying way more for it. I was showing a direct counter to your point. I understand there is a difference between a molded plastic and a painted peak, but that does not change the supply demand curve at the moment, low supply/high demand. The only thing that is truly different in these cases is the yeti will have more supply in the future but the peaks will not change. I’m not saying their value should be equal, i was saying that your point of someone being “stupid” for paying $20 over retail for a YoYo wasn’t a solid solid point Because it has countless cases going against it in this community. I was just pointing out the most outlandish case we have to enter into a discussion.
Price check. Raw SPYY Pistolero. Near mint.
Pictures?
In the morning, not tonight.
You’re problem is that most people in our community are willing to wait and there’s a couple yeti’s on here for close to retail anyways so paying over $50 seems out of the question
I’m not sure how this is “my problem”. Also, I haven’t seen those yetis but it possible I missed them.
If I really needed a Yeti right now I guess I would pay like $60 to have it and not obsess about the fact I don’t have it. I probably won’t even buy one when they’re restocked but I could definitely see myself paying a few bucks over retail if it was something I really felt I needed.
Guess I should have said “The problem is” instead of your problem. Just bad wording on my half
Y’know some at Worlds bought one at the release, wanted another one, and traded his Near Mint Peak for another?
Also, price check on a near mint 1 of 4 Black Essence PreRelease
Price check on mint Dif-e-yo InTernal Turmoil Dave Schulte edition w/o box 1/56 and powder coated Dif-e-yo Bare Bones? Thanks

Love the Diss Kings Barebones! I’d say around $70-80 on it.
Are the Diss Kings still doing powder jobs? Also, how much is the IT worth?
No, the Diss Kings stopped back in like 2006 or so. The IT is an awesome yoyo that is very underrated… Maybe $50-70 on it. Mainly because heavy yoyos aren’t that sought-after.
