Yoyo Appraisal Thread II

US dollars

Asked awhile ago and I’m sure the market has changed a bit in that time! But looking for pricing on the following. Much appreciated! I’ll assume it’s lower then last go, as nothing is selling!

  1. Kyo Tiphiter II

  2. Kyo Tirade

  3. Jazz-Yo Shield

  4. YYF 888

  5. Rollout

  6. Cyclotron w/ engravings

  7. Kyo Alph

  8. Throw Down Shuriken

  9. BSP, all gold.

edit: wow that is an awful photo.

Anyone have an idea what a MFD-Forte(Rat Rod) with some damage would go for? It’s 9/10 fingernail smooth and no string vibe.

Hey folks, I had a pocket throw someone was interested in. I’m not particularly invested in it, but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something special. Don’t get me wrong, cool little mono, but not my thing. No box but the throw itself is in great shape, no dings nicks or scratches. I was thinking 25-45$ range? I dunno. I haven’t seen many show up for sale.

A blue yyf Popstar

I know they still pop up as b grades in amayzing sales.

Here’s a B grade in a splash colorway for a $10 add on, so I’m guessing 15-20? I can’t imagine much more than that.

Edit: the popstar I posted is different. Seems like the yoyo history museum page that hsb posted below has a little info, perhaps the blue one here is the earlier model?

That’s a different yoyo though.

I have no idea folks, this is the most I’ve talked bout this one. It may have been part of a 12 yoyo lot I bought awhile back. I cant remember exactly where I got it or how long it’s been on the shelf. I just saw someone’s LF post and chimed in. Heavy for its size, it feels like a maverick.

Thanks my man! Any idea on prospective value?

I’m afraid that I have no insight on how to price these things.

I have one which sat in a box for 10+ years until I found it earlier this year. I looked for mentions and really didn’t find anything. It doesn’t seem to have much of a following.

There were some nice splashes released that might impact the value to someone collecting Popstars.

FWIW it is quite good for what it is, and holds up pretty well against current C bearing minis like the QUADFOUR, Mini Autoscopy, Mini Krown & Dingo Gen2.

Sadly most yyf are really low value the pop star has been in multiple b grade sales over the years so it’s most likely less than 20 bucks in value. Maybe I’m off I know there are a few models that do the inverse like the 08 888 but those are more exceptions to the rule than the norm…

Right on, no worries. Honestly I hadn’t really even planned on selling it, someone saw it in a photo and asked if I could part with it.

Is a non-nickel MarkMont Next worth more than a nickel one?

And are unengraved anti-yo SEs worth more than engraved ones?

Engraved antiyo SEs are worth more then non engraved. I’ve seen red hearts go for $150-200 and I’ve never seen the regular ones close to that. @zxin

All in all as a company low quality

I would say a nickel markmont next is worth more than a clear soda blasted one but thats just my opinion. I dont even know a non nickel markmont next exists. Werent all of them nickel and soda blasted?

I own a clear one and 2 have come onto the BST semi-recently
