ok, I might try unloading a few things but let’s see what you guys think about this Summit “We Are Throwers/Tahoe”. I’m not sure I have the box, but it’s mint and yes it’s the one we photographed for the Museum.
And since I’ve been talking about RSMs, I might as well make sure these are legit I’m 99% sure they are because I traded for them way before people started making replicas. Little bit of surface rust on the screws, they’ve been in a box in my basement for 5+ years!
Last one for today, what’s a YYF FAST 401k in Cold War Grey worth nowadays? No stickers on the shuttles and a couple of small dings but it’s a 20 year old piece of YYF history.
401k seem to be lost to history a bit. Even during the bigger resurgence a few years ago, they didn’t sell and I saw them just sit. Was my first metal yo-yo so sentimental to me. I’d say if it’s got dings, maybe 50?
They have popped up every now and then. All seem to sell between $85 to $200. There was mint one that sold with a Fast 201k a couple years ago for $150 for the set.
I was sitting at a table with Hans at Nats 2004 (I think) and he showed me the prototype. Absolutely blew me away, and I was first in line when they went up for sale. Very underappreciated.
Apparently a Bapezilla.2 sold for $350 here earlier in the year, have I been out of this for so long that it’s really worth that much?! Anti-Yo-Bapezilla 2 FS
there are hundred of 20 year old pieces of yoyo history you can buy all the time. I just buy mib 2005 DifeYo for $45. Just because it old do not mean it is rare or worth anything by default
its a 401k dinged, 401k is my fave yoyo - not popular nor groundbreaking like first run 888 or YYJ DM that sell far above retail today
do not listen to anybody that say this is $150 or $200. that is simply WRONG., disregard any ebay listing price as these are usually 1.5-2x price of actual value for all yoyo.
worth $50-$80
Here is one listed on forum by ohdavidbowie a few months ago for $65 and it look like it can’t even find a buyer at this price of 65
I think it’s definitely a bit slept on, I think it’s a better small bearing yoyo than the Peakhand which people seem to like, but it turns out I don’t really like small bearings.
